Fitness Staff: Exercise Specialist
Kriquette Andrews
Kriquette Andrews graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion with an emphasis in athletic training in 2003. She is currently certified as an exercise specialist through the American Council on Exercise and is also CPR/First Aid/AED certified. Kriquette has worked in the physical therapy industry for the past 4 years as an aide assisting physical therapists with exercise program design and implementation. She also teaches group exercise classes and enjoys working with people of all ages. "My passion is to educate people in all aspects of health and fitness and give them the tools they need to be successful in making an overall healthy lifestyle change!"
Deborah Best
Deb has fourteen years experience developing health promotion programs to activate employee participation and encouraging healthy lifestyle changes. She enjoys production, design, marketing and implementation of health and fitness programs. She is a graduate of Wellness Program Management with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Personal Training and Fitness Instructor certification with the American Council on Exercise. She has the skill set to work with a variety of levels, but particularly enjoys working with beginning exercisers and introducing people to the practice of yoga.
Aaron Cooper
Aaron Cooper is one of the Exercise Specialist on staff at March Wellness, and is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. He and his wife have lived here for nearly two years since relocating from Atlanta, Georgia. He has his B.S. in Exercise and Health Science from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. His health related experience streams from working several years in the Acute Care (Atlanta Medical Center), Outpatient Occupational Medicine, and Fitness settings (East Lake YMCA). Aaron has a passion for helping others in any capacity possible that will help them achieve their goals. Embracing this passion he has for others, Aaron sometime in the future will be applying to Med. School. Country boy at heart but city boy by appearance Aaron in his spare time loves to play basketball and, in the spring you will more than likely find him at the driving range hitting golf balls.
Laney Coyne
Laney graduated in 2004 from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Fitness Management and minors in Exercise Science and Coaching. While at PLU she competed in varsity basketball and club ultimate Frisbee. She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health and Fitness Instructor (ACSM-H/Fi) as well as through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS). She enjoys training people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities and to her the best part about being a personal trainer is teaching people what they are capable of. Being an athlete herself, she likes to push her clients to train like athletes whether they compete or not. Laney specializes in sport specific training, circuit training, functional training, and weight loss. In her free time she trains for and competes in Ultimate Frisbee with Portland Schwa, an elite level women's team.
Melissa Emerson
Melissa is an exercise specialist with a passion for health and fitness that spans her life time. She was first drawn to the fitness field as a high school athlete, and pursued her interests to Oregon State University to study and graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sports science. Currently Melissa works with clients to achieve desired fitness goals, but also to increase body awareness, balance and overall well-being. She has experience working with diverse clientele, from models to marathon runners, but specializes in training special populations such as those in injury rehabilitation or with chronic disorders. Taking a holistic approach, she strives to facilitate positive changes in balance, strength, agility and coordination to increase functionality and vitality. Melissa also instructs an array of fitness classes, working to creatively bring variety and fun to each one. In her free time she enjoys riding her bike, ultimate Frisbee, gardening, running, and pretty much anything that can be done outdoors.
Alicia Hardin
Alicia Hardin is an Exercise Specialist and has more than fourteen years experience in the health & fitness field. In 1994 she received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education studies with a concentration in fitness management from the University of Delaware. She has experience working with different fitness levels from the novice to the athlete. Alicia believes that the key to success is to integrate exercise into your healthy lifestyle. In addition, having fun and variety in your workouts makes it more likely that you will make lasting lifestyle changes. She emphasizes functional training utilizing different modalities including: physio balls, medicine balls, circuit training, calisthenics, and yoga. Alicia has a variety of YMCA certifications including personal trainer, fitness specialist, and studio cycling instructor and trainer. She is also certified by The American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer. Classes Alicia currently instructs include boot camp and studio cycling
Interests: Loves being outdoors, mountaineering, cross country skiing,
biking, and art walks.
Natalie Hill
Natalie has her B.S in Exercise and Sport Science-Athletic Training/Sports Rehabilitation. She is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-CPT, PES). She also received certifications through the Aerobics Fitness Association of America (AFAA-CPT), APEX (24 APEX-CTP), is a certified EMT-Basic, and a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Lifegurad. Her training experience includes working as an athletic trainer to the Oregon State Women's volleyball, Men's football, Men's basketball, and Women's soccer teams. Aquatic experience includes teaching swimming lessons, participating on and coaching swim teams, and instructing swim-stroke technique classes. The classes were designed to improve the efficiency of an individual’s swimming stroke to improve performance. Swimming lesson participants include ages 6mth- 45 years old. Natalie also worked as a medical intern for the 2005 ESPN X-Games, and is a part of the Hood to Coast medical team. She feels that, "Few things last a lifetime, education and fitness are two things that do."
Johnna Jager 
Nick Parker
Nick has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Wyoming and a strong background in Nutrition. He is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and also through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. While at the University of Wyoming, Nick was a member of the Strength and Conditioning team and worked with a number of different sports teams. Nick trains clients who want to lose weight, or gain muscle, improve sports performance, core strength, and increase flexibility and mobility. When training he focuses on functional training to strengthen the core, improve daily activities and works to correct any structural imbalances. He also provides nutritional guidance to assist with clients' goals. Nick also works as a Personal Trainer at the Bethany Athletic Club. In his free time Nick teaches basketball lessons. Nick believes that for complete wellness all pieces of the wellness puzzle must be incorporated and addressed to complete the puzzle.
Ashley Severns
Ashley is an exercise specialist and group exercise instructor at March Wellness. Initially, Ashley began her education in the dental field and obtained her dental assisting certification. Due to her strong passion for sports, fitness, wellness, and most importantly helping others, she furthered her education and received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science from Oregon State University. Being a former volleyball, basketball, and softball player, Ashley loves working with athletes to increase performance. She specializes in muscular endurance, core training, and incorporates all aspects of fitness and wellness to ensure an overall healthy balance. She has experience instructing total body conditioning, cycling, sculpting, cardio circuits, ab and core training, and is always pushing for creativity to keep her participants stimulated and challenged.
Ashley has experience working with all populations and fitness levels. “I love to connect with all of my clients, empathize and understand them, progress them at their level of fitness, and do it with a smile and enthusiasm. I strive to help others feel comfortable, gain confidence, and most importantly, learn to love exercise and thrive off the benefits that it provides. If my client leaves the gym feeling better about themselves and making progress with their goals, I feel that my purpose is being full-filled."
Barry Wilcox
Barry's goal is to assist individuals as they work towards improving their overall health and fitness through setting concrete goals, lifestyle education, exercise prescription, and by participating in regular physical activity. Barry has been certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health/Fitness Instructor since 2000. With bachelor's degrees in exercise science and sports medicine and a graduate degree in exercise physiology combined with 7 years of diverse experience within the health/fitness field Barry has many strengths. Strengths include, but are not limited to, modifying and preventing disease risk factors through physical activity and lifestyle management, sport specific training, rehabilitation, and goal design. Barry says, "most importantly I want each individual I work with to enjoy their time here at march wellness and have a desire to make regular physical activity a daily commitment.
Molly Williams

Molly Williams, an exercise specialist, enjoys helping others increase their joy and personal satisfaction with life through improved health and wellness. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in Physical Activity and Health, with emphasis on health and wellness. Molly is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Personal Trainer. Working with older adults and families is Molly's specialty and passion. She incorporates balance, coordination, flexibility and body awareness activities for functional improvements in daily living as part of every class and program. A wife and mother herself, with two school age daughters, Molly strives to educate families on building wellness strategies into their busy lives. Molly Williams teaches group exercise and is a personal trainer with march wellness.
